The 2016 season was a dry summer and warm autumn. It was hotter than I like after a spring with the latest freeze on record (May 16). The cannas were okay, but required a lot of watering. Although cannas are easy to grow, they are tropical and do like moisture every week. The canna garden had lots of admirers, but it was not a pleasant summer for viewing. Blooms did look good through September, with above normal temps.
Most (not all) of previously pictured cultivars are available. Here are some new pics--a few not pictured before. This is Cannova Yellow in a pot. In the garden it was less impressive.

Mon Cher (good bloomer)
Hope was nice last year.
Caribbean Sunset
Lunar Light (with Divine Pink to right)
Strawberry Delight
Fantastic Red
Aurora Borealis (not pictured before). Foliage has some darker tones. 40 inches
Many others, not newly pictured, performed very well, including Natalie (always a heavy bloomer), Richard Rehig, Aida, Lady K, Lemon Frost (has turned out to be a reliable bloomer on a shorter plant), and Rosemond Cole. Again, this is not the complete list of cultivars available. Scroll down to see pictures from earlier years. A few may have been discontinued.
