2018 Wettest Year on Record

In 2018 we became aware that the realities of climate change might be experienced sooner rather than later. There were many weather extremes, and we had the wettest year on record. April was the 4th-coldest on record; May, the hottest on record. We had the most days 80 or above; the most nights, 65 or above. The first week of July here had insufferable tropical humidity, which destroyed my camera. (I got a new one.) The cannas, which generally make their greatest display in late July/August, still were magnificent. But some cultivars seemed to struggle with the extreme weather.
